...because, like you, I thought his agent had said he had a "better deal" overseas. I watched most of this game, and Charles seemed to distribute the ball better, making passes to teammates. The announcers kept saying he was from "Memphis State." They didn't have a clue. They did say, however, that he was "very active" on both ends of the floor. He looked pretty good out there, but the Mavs were playing him in the high post.

NBA teams will actually sweeten summer league player contracts? id think that the newly undrafted free agents would be jumping at the opportunity to play on a summer league team because even if they dont make the NBA on a team, they can always head overseas. Rhodes can go to a foreign team either before or after the summer league, so why not take the shot when he is fresh off being a college player prior to being a pro anywhere?

really cant believe the NBA teams would sweeten a deal for an unsigned free agent to play in their summer league. id think the NBA team would be the one with the upper hand an not much reason to negotiate.

i watched him last night, and you are right about the 'active' comment. he ran the floor great in transition and was always trying to stay up at the head of the transition game.

is going to make it tough on the Sixers to cut him. In spite of his poor 3 pt shooting, he is so physical he is going to present tough match-ups for some of the guys in the league to guard him in back-up roles. He could easily give them 15 minutes of toughness off the bench, make some passes, rebound, and hopefully develop a slightly more consistent shot.</p>

Does anyone know the next time either one plays, and whether it will be on tv or not?
