Dunking on a man that has a foot advantage.

I'm also not sure if I'm more impressed by the buzzer beater or how easy Adams made that pass look.

All bias aside, if you’re starting a franchise from scratch today, Morant has to at least get consideration as your #1 pick, doesn’t he?

The guys that I’d rather have today(and there aren’t many) are getting up there in age, and I can’t think off too many younger guys that are even in the conversation

Unless I'm forgetting someone, I can't imagine anyone picking someone other than him, Luka, Giannis or Jokic.

I would probably still go with the Greek Freak as my top pick. He’s 27. Luca Doncic, Donovan Mitchell, Ja Morant, Jayson Tatum, and Devin Booker would be in the conversation.

Speaking of Jokic, this no look pass he did the other night was unreal.

Notice who's not on that list. The guy picked ahead of Morant in the draft. It's not Jordan-Sam Bowie just yet, but it's leaning in that direction.

Meh. Zion will quit tanking with the Pels at some point and sign a big deal with the Knicks or Lakers, and suddenly be comeback player of the year.

One thing that makes Morant special is that he's happy to be where he is and he wants greatness for the team that picked him.

I was texting a friend that lives in Memphis the other day about how at the time I was like damn we just missed out Zion and he responded by saying he didn’t know if Ja would turn out to be good

Looking back we both are idiots

Zion averaged 27ppg, 7.2rpg, 3.7apg, and 1spg last season on 61.1% shooting overall.
It isnt leaning in the direction of Bowie right now.

Maybe its leaning in the direction of Greg Oden/Kevin Durant since Oden was fantastic when he played, but constantly injured....just like Zion.

I was down with Ja the whole time. I just thought he was perfect for what the Grizz needed at the time, and he was a "local" guy so I thought he'd be happy in Memphis. It was sad to see Conley go, but drafting Ja constituted a turn of the page.

I will admit that there were times in his rookie year that I second guessed this. But now, I don't think there's any question that Memphis got the better player.

To some degree, health is a skill. Zion doesn't have bad feet. He isn't 7'1" (most of those guys are injury-plagued). He can't stop eating and get in shape. It's not like Oden at all really.

Zion has had consistent problems with his feet going back to college. His size and athleticism make him a unicorn in some ways, but you gotta wonder if his lower half can handle his style of play. I think he is going to have to evolve as a player to stay healthy.

Holy ****. Its was a basic comparison that I think is better than your comparison. I didnt say they are identical.

The 6'3-6'8 guys with 6% body fat who break a bone abd are injured will be sad to hear that health is a skill and they lack that skill.

To be clear, I will be surprised if Zion is able to play for 10 years at his current rumored weight. Who knows if he is able to shed some weight for the long term- that is pretty damn rare as an adult, even a young one.
Regardless, its closer to Durant/Oden than Jordan/Bowie.

It all comes back to his weight. Chuck talked about this on TNT. Moses Malone called him fat and lazy and it changed his career. Someone needs to be in Zion's ear.
