it's Jack. He's one of the only rational people in the MSU AD. He is the silver lining in a 2-10 season- Sonic Drive of the Game- My drive home to Tupelo. Gold.

There really would be an uprising if they fired Jack. If he says something Don Imus stupid, we can pass it off as "well ya know, he is pretty old."

Also, I noticed that Peter Tom Willis wore the #4. Probably not a coincidence.

Jack's had some great calls for great moments in State history. He's had some hilarious lines in times of defeat and struggle. Listening to State games will never seem right when he's gone.

You especially know you have a gem when your long-time radio announcer pisses off a certain group of your fan base because he foregoes political correctness in favor of speaking his mind when the team he's covering flat out sucks.

Steve Ellis would get it. I think he is the logical choice. Yes Steve, not Greg or Jim Ellis. Guy does does SE drive time, and some State pregame stuff hours before the game. I have heard him do play by play before and he is very good.

Is it just me, or do Jim Ellis, Steve Ellis, and Bart Gregory sound the same? You really have to know MSU sometimes to know who is talking.

....but Bart Gregory really seems to go out of his way to sound like Jim Ellis.

Bart sounds like Jim Ellis but Steve Ellis sounds nothing like either of them. Not to be gay but I think Steve's voice is more soothing and easier to listen to than Jim Ellis. Jim has this "talk out of his nose" kind of voice. Steve just talks normally.

With that said, Jack is the best thing that ever happened to Mississippi State. He can do whatever he wants. I dont think he butchers games. I enjoy listening to him and he has only got a few more years so enjoy it while you can. Anybody that talks **** about Jack should be executed.
