Westlake WR Jaden Greathouse was tentatively scheduled to take his Texas official visit this weekend but that won't be happening. Westlake High School is competing in the State 7v7 Tournament on Fri/Sat and he'll be participating in that.

We'll catch up with him at the 7v7 Tourney to get an update, but this one continues to trend strongly towards Notre Dame. He was considered an Irish lean before taking his official visit to South Bend last weekend, and that trip only solidified Notre Dame's standing. Greathouse has a final four of ND, Texas, OU and South Carolina.

For as long as there have been recruiting rankings, it seems we've made a TON of blue chip guys top 10 or top 5 teams, then we miss out.

The optimistic way to look at it is that past results with other coaches may not have the same results as with Coach Beamer. Most of those prior coaching staffs wouldn't have closed the deal with Rattler, would they? Or Stogner?

Back to Greathouse, he is impressive physically and has impressive numbers, but some question whether having as QB Klubnik (now Clemson qb) pumped up those numbers. Others say having Greathouse made Klubnik look better than he is.
