I think this actually helps Stansbury and MSU keep future players that want to leave early. All they have to do is point to Jamont Gordon as a perfect example of why you should stay.

How much did Mario Austin's screwup help us to keep Jamont for his senior season? What would have helped us out would have been for Jamont to go in the first round and Charles to go in the second. A proven track record of placing players in the NBA would make it a lot easier to recruit the elite players. And the only true elite players Stans has ever signed that didn't go straight to the NBA are Austin, Roberts (signed as a transfer), Gordon and Bost (I know he hasn't actually played for us yet but I think it's a safe assumption).</p>
