Not sure about this move. Jimbo wasn't worth the money, no doubt. But they'll still pay him anyway and have to get a new coach on the cheap (for them). He lost 3 games by less than one score with a backup quarterback. He recruited well. That's kind of a hard act to follow. I'm sure a up and coming coach would gladly take the job, but would a coach at an established winning program?

So, which can't-miss coach out there are they going to hire? And how much more will they pay him than Jimbo?

Texas A&M is like Tennessee but maybe even worse. They fill entitled they should be winning Championsips every year. They fire Jimbo, Sumlin, Slocum, Sherrill, etc. Their last natty was 1939. I mean, we all want success, but they seem a bit out of reality. At least TN's was 25 years ago so they fan base has a taste.
I guess they expect that big ole oil money to be a return on investment. I mean who do they go after next? Eli from MZ?

Throw a bag at Kiffin?
Maybe. He has hit his ceiling at Ole Miss in my opinion, They are in a bad spot having to split MS talent and being in between AL and TX. With TX joining the SEC, it certainly does Ole Miss no favors.
I could see if for sure.

Do they also have to pay off the assistants? I wonder if Petrino gets paid if he gets booted along with Dirkin.

Urban Meyer's name will certainly be bouced around by the talking heads in the coming month.

"Meyer's 17 seasons as a college head coach featured a record of 187-32 and positioned him with the third-highest winning percentage in college football history at . 853, trailing only Knute Rockne and Frank Leahy. His teams were 12-3 in bowl games – second-best, all-time – and 27-3 in “rivalry” games."
