If it happens, we're going to find out a lot about Shane's relationship with Stewart.

Honestly, I was pretty underwhelmed with him. Yeah, his recruiting was picking up. But that's only half the battle. Our DL was not very good under his leadership.
I don’t disagree. I’m this portal age, and with our recruiting being so relationship-heavy, I just worry about losing any talent we’ve managed to bring in. (Okay, so “worry” is a strong word - I just don’t want to see negative repercussions.)

Yes, that is the main thing. While we can certainly upgrade the position, we have a historically good class in the works right now and you don't want to risk anything upsetting that.

Interesting, I hate interruptions to staff continuity, but several of our best players on the defense line already did transfer out, when he was thought to be staying, Burch and Edmonds, and we have no 2024 commits on the DL yet? or maybe I'm wrong on that?

Money talks. He had a buyout clause since he just got a raise. Still wonder how good was Lindsay as a coach and recruiter? Did he cause the starters to leave, just wondering?

Good Canidates:
Jamar Cain - Oklahoma (Wonder if Shane has a relationship from his time there)
Rod Wright - UTSA
Kyle Pope - Memphis

I think Satterfield would be a good replacement option. Hear me out…
He always had a good feel for how to stuff our running game. Imagine if he turned that power on opposing teams.
