I agree, the label of boy genius was too much, but he was working with Darnold, Cam, and an injured CMC. YuckI thought we declared him a genius.
Yeah - Gauss, Einstein, Feynman, Pauling, Rhule.I thought we declared him a genius.
That’s awesome.Yeah - Gauss, Einstein, Feynman, Pauling, Rhule.
Yeah really interesting how great players make coaches look like geniuses.Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and a good OL = pass game coordinator looked better than what he was.
Not saying he wasn't a part of the success, but...
For sure. And those guys made Orgeron look pretty damn good too. Not saying that Brady isn't good/won't be good but anointing him the next offensive guru after one great season was kind of silly.Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and a good OL = pass game coordinator looked better than what he was.

Big time dulling of Rhule. In year 2, he looks over matched and this smacks of throwing off coordinators to save your butt. For sure. And those guys made Orgeron look pretty damn good too. kind of a screw job by Carolina though. They could have fired him a few weeks ago so he had more college job options.
PS. The shine is coming off the Matt Rhule star a bit too.
I've heard some whispers that Rhule doesn't love the NFL. Wouldn't be a huge surprise if he is not with Carolina after this/next season.Big time dulling of Rhule. In year 2, he looks over matched and this smacks of throwing off coordinators to save your butt.
Expect Carolina to be major players for a veteran star QB this off-season. Rhule needs a QB and then we’ll know.

I'll give Rhule the benefit of the doubt, but seems like he could have done this a few weeks ago to give him more options.Rumor is Rhule did Brady a favor while college jobs are open.
That’s my point. You can’t fully evaluate Rhule until he has a competent QB. Carolina will go all in this off-season to get him one.you would look over matched too if your QB was Sam Darnold.
So why did Burrow not have much success before the magical year?
He went from 58 to 76% completions, 7.9 to 12.5 YPA and 16/5 to 60/6 TD/Int in the year Brady was there. No improvement whatsoever. He led them to a 10-3 season. They lost at Florida, to playoff runner up Bama, and to A&M in 7OT.
That's not successful?
As for Brady, he wasn't going to replicate the LSU title run in the NFL. Even the most "magical" season of the past 20 years ended in a Super Bowl loss by the more famous QB Brady.
He would have been better off trying it in college. Even then, outside of Bama or OSU, the odds of finding a similarly talented roster are slim and none.

If I remember correctly there was another OC in the booth with Brady helping him call the games at LSU, correct?Okay. It was all Brady.

Thanks. Here's the article I remember with a excerpt first:Steve Ensminger was the OC in his second year.
Funny how many brilliant coaches.....coached Tom Brady. His "genius" went to the Bengals.I thought we declared him a genius.
Lol. Hey, good to see you posting, @marshall23.Funny how many brilliant coaches.....coached Tom Brady. His "genius" went to the Bengals.
Thanks. Made a New Year's resolution not to engage football morons......as you can imagine, cuts down the posting considerably.Lol. Hey, good to see you posting, @marshall23.
Thing is, its more likely the Bills are wondering how Joe Brady evolves.Josh Allen has evolved into the mature adult self already
