It still seems silly to me to tie $2.4M up over 3 years in a ST coach when the metrics and analytics are devaluing STs. The kickoff rules have taken kick coverage and kick return out of the equation. I get that Beamer is a ST guy, and Beamer Ball is "cutesy". But damn, I'd much rather put those resources into our ailing defense, or medical staff.

DeCamillis received much praise from the media and fans in the months following the incident for continuing to coach in his high energy style, wearing a neck brace, only 9 days following the incident. He was interim head coach of the Denver Broncos for one game. I think SC is very lucky to have this guy. I am a Longhorn fan and don't have any reason to say otherwise if I didn't believe it.
True about kickoffs, but extra points are no longer gimmees. Any edge you can get if you really want to win.
