Imma go ahead and say it. If Gray keeps it up we’re winning the SEC regular season. Prior to the Ark game, the guy didn’t have a game with more than 2 pts or 3 reb. Since, he’s averaging 8.7ppg and 5.6rpg. He had 9 pts and 6 reb against the UK 7 footers. So glad the light has come on for him. You can see the potential in him.

Agreed. Unfortunately CLP had to bench him to lite a fire under him. Appears to have worked.

We are a much better team defensively with him on the floor. His offense is also coming around. He looks 100% more confident than he did in the first 10ish games. He and Boyles give us a strong inside presence. Really helps out Mack. They can no longer play their biggest guy on Mack without creating match-up issues on Gray and Boyles.

Yep! A weakness to start the year is slowly turning into a strength.

Agreed, we can win the Sec, and also, at this point, we are in the Dance. I see 23 wins minimum, and over .500 in conference play. How do we not get in. I don’t anybody outside the top 4-6 seeds that want any part of us right now. Paris’s system is in place and the guys are buying in.

Gray is definitely playing his role. Mack is a pick and pop threat, and our guards can drive or shoot the 3. Leaves Gray open and he is feasting. But it’s Mack’s 260 frame, backing you down, or then popping out, combined with the versatility of the guards that let Gray shine. It’s all coaching scheme baby. Paris is maximizing what his players can do. Make no mistake.

100%. Love his motion offense. Smart guys that know ball moving around creating offense. I can’t stand watching coaches like Cal and Izzo that have to direct every movement of their players. Drives me nuts.

Gray has always had this potential. Martin would yank him after one slight mistake so he couldn’t play with any confidence.

He improved last year and I really thought he would be a force this year. LM yanked him any time he got out of position early on so it was reminiscent of Frank. I didn’t get it. I knew he would have to play him in sec games. It’s not all about points. He alters shots and gets rebounds that others could not. He makes driving guards turn back out. It’s big to help us in winning.

The really weird thing (as a Gamecock) is if Gray doesn't finish strong someone else will. How crazy is that?
