I was wondering if you guys were after Juco player Jimmy Butler, who plays for Tyler apache jc. I know we at Iowa State are recruiting him, but I thought he also had an offer from you guys. Does anyone know if Miss. State is actively recruiting him?

and if we are competing for recruits with Iowa State, we are in dire trouble.

i would tak Craig Brackins in a second. he has the talent and skills to be a dominant big man in any of the major conferences. i hear we need that sort of player soon...as in next season.

id also take Wesley Johnson without a second thought. the dude is 6'7 and is long. he led them in rebounding last season, and moved to the 2spot this season. he is versatile, can shoot great from the outside, and can bang low even if he is undersized. he would be the perfect 3 for us.

iowa state hasnt been good for a few years, but they were friggin money from the mid 90s thru the early 2000s. they still have talent too. talent that would help MSU win games.

That was a great post, and I agree with you on everything. Butler is a talented wing player for Apache JC that has put up over thirty points in a half. Last year he played for Tomball, and Miss State wanted him, but were out of schollies, so they told him to go juco. Right now he is a freshman in Juco, but is interested in going d1 after this year.

But is he a great Slasher? That would be the key.

FYI, he has already visited Iowa State, is visiting Marquette, then MSU next week.

Per Rivals, he visited Mississippi State, and Iowa State, then committed to Marquette without even visiting. Both of our schools missed out on a talented player.

WTF??? Now we're losing players before I even hear of them... What the hell is going on around here?
