Gas to drive from Shreveport to Jackson- $50.00

Basketball for Stansbury to autograph for your kid- $35.00

Telling Little Wooden- "Its not against NCAA rules for you to play Augustus and Turner at the same time ya know"

Priceless

I'm actually surprised that you allowed your kid to get his autograph.

Let me guess- you have Sly Croom's John Hancock around the house somewhere to? Right?

You probably would have been so humiliated and pissed off that if someone would tell you how to run your team that you would quit the business.....

Oh, wait. Nevermind. ETA: IF

no Crooms mementos in my meager collection...all I got is a Jackie Sherrill autographed ball, a Kevin Fant signed gameball, a game helmet from the 2000 season, and now the Little Wooden signed basketball to top it off

on finally obtaining something signed by player or coach who's career record is above .500.

Why would you want his autograph and drive a considerable distance to get it?

For what?

While leading the charge to have him fired ... and adding a cowardly little snide remark at the end. What do you think you accomplished?

C34 is going to be the new OC & DC for my alma mater (Calhoun City). Our bud Liles is the coach now, so I know he will hire C34 ASAP to run both sides of the ball.

Come on people. Anyone who believes that this happened needs to be removed from the gene pool. Have any of you ever read 34's posts? What would make you believe that this actually happened?

anybody on the board that has met me in person like Thunderclap, Thick, Patdog, Original48, and a few others would doubt it for a second...neither should you

What you did was bitchassed. It was neither brave, nor cool. So, don't act like it was.

You should have gotten a picture of you and Coach Stansbury. So, that your son could see the difference between a real coach and a guy who calls himself coach.

"Little Wooden", as you call him, makes 1.4 million dollars per year coaching basketball in Mississippi. You, on the other hand, drive for hours on a Monday night to get "Little Wooden's" autograph. And you call yourself "coach". Kinda ironic, isn't it? One signs autographs. One travels to get autographs. And feels a sense of accomplishment when he makes a smart aleck remark ....

The joke is on you, man.

bitchassed? I simply gave Little Wooden a nuggett for his little brain to think about some more. What he does with it is up to him.

Little Wooden makes makes good money- good for him. It may surprise you to know myself and others that went into to coaching had no desire to coach on the college level. I personally turned down GA offers at 2 schools to continue coaching in HS. 25K in HS starting out was better than working for 1,500 and free tuition...and its rare these days you get to coach college football without playing on that level, and I had no desire to coach baseball in college

There is no joke on me. I'm happy doing what I do- and now, instead of working 70 hours a week for 40K in HS, I get to be just like the rest of you Taco Bell managers coaching from the sidelines. Only I know what I'm talking about.

P.S.- I'm in Jackson for Christmas because I'm from here and spending time with family. Seeing Little Wooden again was just extra
