Charlotte is #55 in Warren Nolan's RPI. Just a bit below Ole Miss and our friends in the upstate. Upper Quad II.

Edit: just realized Indiana and Indiana St. are pretty good, with both in top 15.

Agree, RPI impact is minimal but they have lost 11 and 12 games respectively to teams like Long Beach St., Iowa, Illinois-Chicago and Penn St.
LSU and Vandy should not be losing to these teams.

Louisiana 8 LSU 5

Indiana St 10 Vandy 2

Indiana 7 Louisville 3

Not sure of the impact of these losses, but we have done a good job of avoiding mid-week upsets except for Charlotte.
I would think it doesn't help, if you just go 2-1 on the weekend that's .500 for the week and that can't help your ranking and your rpi. I'm not on the commitee so I couldn't say for sure, but I would think rpi is pretty important. What other tool rates your ranking using your wins/losees and sos and the same for everyone you've played. It's statistical not someones opinion.

Listened to Stuart Lake yesterday on Bobby Hardin sports talk radio. His experience on committees shows the RPI is a major player in seeds. His time serving on them indicated that RPI discussion was major.

Both LSU and Vandy are going thru pitching problems. This is where midweek games are a struggle.

See Gamecocks last year.
