Just out of curiosity, how does Holcomb stack up against Dontae Jones?

I mean, the Jones that we recruited out of NECC, or NWCC, whatever it was. I know this new guy is a Juco All American, and so was Jones. Anybody got any insight? They are pretty similar in size I think, and I can't remember how heavily recruited Dontae was out of JUCO.

Which one of you on this board is the white guy holding up Dontae's jersey at about the 5:05 mark?

there is no comparision. The JC All-American honor can be misleading. Horatio Webster was a JC AA but his game did not translate into the SEC. The word is that the coaches are counting on Holcombe being able to fill a M Gholar/B Vincent type role with the team. He is 6'6" or 6'7" with a pretty stocky built. I called a coach that I know from the Atlanta area and he said that he would be a solid role player as a backup for us and basically a good find this late. He said he was a good defender and rebounder but didn't remember him scoring alot.

On the other hand when Dontae Jones wanted to there was only a handful of players that could even slow him down. For him to come into school right at the last minute onto as talented a team as we had and accomplish what he did is unheard of.

our own Dontae' Jones. If you watch closely, there's a scene where you see him without the shades, and after that, there's no doubt. This is the rap group (Cashville) that he was involved with when he got into trouble through an altercation with rival rappers from Memphis, ultimately leading to his downfall in the NBA.

All in all, this is terrific stuff if you're in the mood for a good laugh mixed with sheer "why the hell would you do this" awe. Especially the behind the scenes mixed footage that rolls after the finished product. It's basically Dontae' spitting out lyrics every other verse, and urging dirty southerners to keep it wicked like his royal brethren.

I think the real question here is, where in the <17> did he get that orange shirt?

Keep it wicked, bitches...
