We don’t need them, sure don’t need them to have a piece of SEC pie and money. If SEC stands pat after UT & Oklahoma, schools like Clemson will gradually suffer due to less revenue and they will lose some of the advantages they currently have. Let Dabo go beg to the Big 10 if he wants to.

B1G won't give Clemson an invite....SEC is its only option should the ACC crumble but that's a long way from happening from what we know.

2. I find this doubtful at best, HC's are not included in any formal negotiations, this would be left up to the school president, BOT, and AD's.
ACC dissolves. Coming to the SEC still makes no sense for them, and they could start their own network since they are so desirable.

All those trailer park trophies they have. Wow!! Let me say this from private sources Clemson will never be invited to join the SEC. They will not even come close to getting 75% of the membership to letting them in. Like Paul Harvey used to say "you know the rest of the story".
Who blocks them? I can tell you who it won’t be. It won’t be SC blocking them. I wish I had your optimism. I just don’t see the sc legislator who has there hands all in our operation letting another state school miss out on millions of revenue for them and this state.

It’s all fine and dandy to say you won’t let someone in till it nets you millions more in revenue each year. I’m not saying that in response to any team. I just fill like it a team is added it’s making the pie bigger when it happens.
Agree. It will be similar to UVA when the Big East was collapsing and VaTech needed to find a new home. The Virginia legislature made it happen and the SC legislature will attempt to do the same. They have to.....can't allow a major school in the state flutter in the wind.
Not sure...but don't think so. Other than general financing of the state schools, the only thing I remember the legislature having any approval over is bond requests for academic/athletic facility improvements.
