Boy that would be a shame. How would we ever recover? The loss in continuity would break up all of our momentum and the team might end up 9 games under .500 in conference play at the halfway point. That would be terrible.
I think when it's all said and done, we won't have much more player movement than usual. I know if I were a player, I would at least wait around and see who the new coach is before I just moved on.
We also probably will have a couple that will leave in the fall, but again I don't think it will be like when Croom took over and started booting people left and right.
Plus, I bet we add a player or two from wherever the new coach comes from.
There will be transfers no matter what, I have been told a lot of the team don't want raffo (contrair to what Polk has preached otherwise) but I have also heard a rumor the players are having individual meetings with Greg, and many have said they DON'T want Cohen either.
Polk seems to have a negative view of Cohen. Seems perfectly logical if he talked down Cohen, particularly his tendency to crowd the plate, the team would pick up on it and possibly be influenced by Polk's opinion on the matter. The team has picked up on Polk's farewell tour attitude this season and it is evident so that theory seems pretty plausible.
