That just seems out of character for Griffey, Jr.

Brantley is a terrible announcer. He's adopted this really annoying voice and he isn't very insightful for a former player.

If you didn't know better, you would think he was some Top 40 afternoon DJ that they drug out of the studio to fill in at the game.

And to think some idiot suggested he should be MSU's pitching coach. The guy who wrote the article is also spot on about Showalter. He's gotten to be really annoying, too, with his old school analysis. He was on some kid the other night for standing at home plate admiring his walk off home run. Said something like "run the bases son". Came off as a bitter old man who is jealous because he never got the chance to admire a dinger in the big leagues. Thank god he wasn't seriously considered to be MSU's coach. Who the hell would want to play for him?

...my dad couldn't stand Shorty McWilliams. For years, Shorty sat behind my parents at Meridian High football games. Dad claimed he would say some of the stupidest things he's ever heard (and dad is a former Marine, so you KNOW he heard some stupid things).

and scream at? The LSU guy kept backing out of the box. Jeff finally had enough, came off the mound, and screamed at the batter to get back in the box so he could strike him out.
