This is a big loss, IMO, as Whisenhunt is headed to Bama as a special assistant. I sure hope CJF has learned a lot from him.
Why would we not assume he learned from CJF?

What is his head coaching record? If he's better than Franklin, why is CJF earning 7 million plus and Ken is being paid as a consultant. Assuming he knows more football than Franklin is just nonsense. LOL

Well, now Nick Lou has four "special assistants." Franklin has some catching up to do.You do realize that Franklin is at Penn State, right? What does Penn State do better than burn money?
Apparently what PSU does best is employ clueless football coaches who wouldn't qualify to be consultants....let alone be position coaches in the esteemed NFL.......LOLYou do realize that Franklin is at Penn State, right? What does Penn State do better than burn money?
I know. It's not easy these days trying to buy eggs and pay PSU football coaches. You do realize that Franklin is at Penn State, right? What does Penn State do better than burn money?
DUde, I am pro JF as anyone but what you typed is ridiculous. What is his head coaching record? If he's better than Franklin, why is CJF earning 7 million plus and Ken is being paid as a consultant. Assuming he knows more football than Franklin is just nonsense. LOL
Wis is a great football man. To assume he's schooling CJF is what is ridiculous. Coaches, as you know, are the biggest sponges (at least the good ones) learning and sharing ideas from one another. PSU, I believe is up to 20 support staff members (including analysts). This was much needed and was one of the things CJF fought for in his new agreement. Not just his compensation, but more funds for the program. Experienced eyes and ears are a big plus. But in the end, its the HFC that provides the structure. Are you saying that Franklin couldn't have chosen to be a position coach, a coordinator or a HC (with a losing record) in the NFL? Two good football people who simply chose different paths and destinations.DUde, I am pro JF as anyone but what you typed is ridiculous.

According to 24/7 PSU has increased to 10 analysts although Whisenhunt (2yrs) as never been listed.Well, now Nick Lou has four "special assistants." Franklin has some catching up to do.
I guess these guys never unpack their suitcases - must be a tough life - I guess like being in the Military - always on the move at least no one is shooting at you just the fans

Guys like Whisenhunt are the very fortunate ones. He's had two HC gigs and those are usually lucrative deals. He probably doesn't need to be breaking his balls as a position coach etc. Lot's of lifers don't get that big payday and yes they live out of a suit case. Falling in love with football and coaching is one thing......but I can't imagine some of the coaches who have families and move from one D2 or D3 job to another. Now that's tuff.I guess these guys never unpack their suitcases - must be a tough life - I guess like being in the Military - always on the move at least no one is shooting at you just the fans
Haven’t heard that but Tengwall is still recovering from surgery last year and may be doubtful for full participation in the spring.Talking about leaving and things a PSU fan might want to really be worried about......has anyone else heard the rumor that big money was thrown at Tengwall and Olu by USC?
Rumor is he was floated 400k and Olu moreHaven’t heard that but Tengwall is still recovering from surgery last year and may be doubtful for full participation in the spring.

Wow. This crap is where college football can get weird.Rumor is he was floated 400k and Olu more
What if Saban brought K. Whisenhunt in because he believes PSU will be in the CFB Playoffs and its an opportunity for Saban to scout future competition.
Shabbat Shalom
Entirely "rumor." Seems like Williams is doing the "cold calling." DC Maryland roots?Wow. This crap is where college football can get weird.
