At this point kids are just making reservations and taking money. I don’t even both to attempt to keep up with it anymore.
And in the end, MSU will end up with a Top 30 class that is also only ranked 14th in the SEC, and the expected results on the field from that will follow. Rinse / repeat.

State admin just isn't equipped for building successful football programs. Our hated rival goes out and hires one of the hottest young coaches and our fans say: "oh he won't be there long!" 5 years later and he is getting paid $10 million and raking in the NIL funding while bringing in multiple top position players from other programs. Meanwhile, our Prez and hotshot invisible AD are sitting around with thumbs up their azzez! But we definitely have the Coordinator to Head Coach market cornered, making State the bargain hunters for Future Head Coaches. Looks like Keith Carter was the Right AD hire for the confederates! Jury still out in Mr. invisible Selmon!

It’s not so much the athletic administration, but our miserable fan base. The difference between UM and State are their alums actually contribute to their own success and promote their program with posters such as yourself shitting on State, while having zero insight into what steps are actually taking place to move the program forward.

I'm not crapping in State. Merely pointing out that State continues to hire coordinators while rivals hire sitting head coaches and pay them well when they have success. Look at our hiring over the last 50 years.
Bellard- out if college coaching at the time State called him. in his twilight still running the Veer/ Wishbone/Wingbone. Had success at State because of Threadgill.
Rockey Felker- a Running Backs Coach at Arkansas.
Jackie Sherrill- out of football selling cars for his FIL when Templeton called him.
Croom- another running backs coach who was a DEI hire
Mullen- a decent coordinator who turned out to be the best coach State has ever had who didn't want to be here.
Moorhead- a decent coordinator as long as he had top tier talent who's only previous Head Coach experience was at Fordham, a FCS school in a football conference that couldn't give a rats patuty about this barbaric sport!
Leach- a sitting Head Coach at a Power 5 school. The most acclaimed HC State has ever hired but who's scheme everybody but A meathead coach at LSU had learned ho to defend if you didn't have a QB who could throw it more than 20 yards.
Arnett-D coordinator( here we go again) a clown move that proved Selmon wasn't ready for the job.
Lebby- another coordinator(surprise, surprise, surprise). Let us pray!

My thoughts on the matter. When Pittman gets fired/retires at the end of the year this guy will probably be in the portal. Hard to put much weight into recruiting when the transfer portal is the new norm

Perhaps you should take off your Maroon and White glasses. There are plenty of SEC programs that hired coordinators as their first time head coaching positions that have succeeded and failed.

Sam Pittman
Kirby Smart
Mark Stoops
Brent Venerable
Shane Beamer
Josh Huepel
Clark Lee
Jeff Lebby

Half of the SEC’s current head coaches were first time head coaches. Many of the other head coaches in the league were either fired from previous programs or are on the hot seat this year.

Our best bet at hiring someone with head coaching experience is to get someone with a little baggage (Sherrill, Leach). Norvell in hindsight could have been a solid option but something must have scared us off. If Lebby sucks or is successful and moves on we need to target Jim Harbaugh assuming he doesn't last in the NFL.

Dude. You’re a 17n moron.

You may not like our hiring decisions but to use a phrase like “DEI hire” for a guy that was hired 20 years ago and has spent a lifetime in football is enough to disregard anything else you wrote. And Jackie was selling cars for his father in law? What the 17 are you talking about? He wasn’t even married when he owned that car dealership. He married his current wife a year before he took the job at State.

Selmon’s didn’t hire Arnett. We didn’t have an AD at the time, Cohen had left for Auburn.

For those that b!rich and Moan who of you are giving to BI?
Other fan bases have stepped up ours just make excuses after excuses on why they don’t give or won’t give. You can hate it all you want but NIL is here and thank God we actually have fans who stepped up and others that do give. I hate coming on here and seeing our fans just absolutely crush the program, the leadership especially when most don’t have 17ing clue about what’s happening or going on.
My challenge to all state fans. Get off your a$$es stop sitting on your hands and give to the Bulldog Initiative. You may not think your 10,20,100 a month helps but it does especially if we have a huge number of those each and every month. It’s time for our fans to believe that we can compete instead of being po ol state

And anyone reporting on a list of top collectives is guessing no one is saying anything about what they have or don’t have.

Typical… you post something to get people interested or maybe excited about giving to the BI and one person post some adolescent meme instead stating why they don’t or won’t give or will start to give.
This free board is a cesspool of negativity when it comes to MSU athletics especially football. I feel like this board is full hopes to win but isn’t invested in winning. They would rather come on here and just be negative about everything thinking it’s funny or some other BS. Maybe just maybe try to make a difference with money …
To many po ol in this fan base

I think you missed an exit somewhere on the way over here.

The literal slogan on the home page for this place for decades has been “Abandon all hope ye who cheer for the maroon and white.”
