In his 2020 fr year even though it was covid FB, he looked really solid as a power runner. He seemed to move the pile even as a FR RB. He was listed at 243, so I figured he was going to be the 250# hammer by the time he was senior. As a soph he seemed to enroll in the dance class and was not as direct of decisive with driving forward. That could have been OL issues, but seemed different from FR year.

The current roster has him at 234, and being reported getting faster. Speed cannot hurt for sure, but what do you think the best use of his skills is for this team? Where do you see the staff using him? If he is not the pile driver, then he starts to just look like the other guys.

I'd like to see him have a really good year and be a strong part of the back field. I don't have an issue with him getting faster because even though he has been our best back for 2 years, his lack of speed has hurt us.

Right now, it seems we are going to see all 4 (in some capacity) , and that's great, but the elder backs know that the freshman can play. If Singleton can have the vision and speed to break off big runs, he's going to play. If Allen can be the hammer that doesn't get tackled on the first touch 90% of the time while being elusive, he's going to play.

I actually like Lee's game, but his style needs to change. Somebody was mentioning Tony Hunt in another thread, that is how I envision Lee playing, downhill, one cut, knows where the hole is going to be, deliver a blow and drag a guy 2-3 yards. I don't know if it has been our blocking scheme over the past few years, or the fact that Lee doesn't have great vision, but he seems to miss a lot of holes. He doesn't have the feet or the vision to afford himself the luxury of dancing and picking holes. I like him punishing a defense, mostly staying in between tackles, then brining in a faster back and seeing if we can get the edge.

They should try him at Full Back with Singleton as TB. That seems like it could make a great back field tandem.

I'd rather have 2 or 3 TEs on the field than have 2 RBs. The TEs should be more effective blockers out of the H-back position (essentially a FB), but add more of a pass catching threat/mismatch than 2 RBs

In his FR year he actually was straight power. Last year much more of a dancer. In terms of sheer power running he took a bit of a step back last year.

Franklin mentioned more explosive running plays in his presser but harkening back to another era what I wouldn't give for a back (and line) that could reliably get 3-4 yards.

Could have used him getting tackled from behind in Indiana '20 game. I kid..he is a good goal line back.

I avtially wish we had him this year. Reminds me a little Haskins, Hassan that is. Kind of a lean forward wont go down type.
