A couple of guys are looking to start a kickball league in Jackson similar to the wildly popular leagues around the U.S. including Memphis, Atlanta, Greenville, SC, Charlotte and DC. If you are interested there is a facebook group you can join:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=17074464893&ref=nf

The leagues are a blast. It's coed and very social. Drinking, costumes, and inappropriate team names are encouraged. After games there are drink specials at the league bar. It's just a good time.

If interested click the link above for more info.

I just got home from our kickball game in Memphis and would definitely recommend getting this started. It is a lot of fun. we actually have a website for news, schedule and standings

it was a lot of fun. Take your beer on the field with you. It's freaking harder than some may think too, that ball can be hard to see in the air at night (mainly the dark blue one), and it taking a hop off a rock before you kick it is not uncommon. Watching us fatasses trying to run around the bases was amusing too.

It os a lot harder than I thought it would be. keep it on the ground or you are screwed. I still have issues with that

</p>and the one that really stood out to me was that you had to kick behind home plate. You can't just run out there and rip it. I don't know how much room you have to gain momentum, so it may not be as hard as I'm thinking.

All it means is that you cant run out towards the pitchers mound to kick. You have to let the ball come to you and you have as much room as you need

I need to join a league. You think I could pull a Babe Ruth and only run to first?

I play in a WAKA league and would recommend it to anyone. The league I play in provides 4 kegs for every game. Needless to say it gets kind of messy. Good times.

I played soccer for ten years so I have a decent leg, but if that thing takes a funny hop before you kick it, you look like an *** when it goes off your ankle.

What venue will be able to use that allows us to bring beer on the field? I figure most softball complexes would be against that. Knowing Jackson, we probably couldnt find a place to play. Otherwise I am in. The FAMOUS THANKS JACKIE softball team will be happy to put together a kickball team - just let us know the details.

The park we use says as long as we keep the beer in a cup and take all of your trash with you then the are fine with everyone drinking.

of the league with hot, single eye-candy? I'm down for option two, but if we need more chicks I can bring the wife.
