I'm thinking it will be early enough in the season that both teams will be undefeated and the hype from the end of last season and Beamer's recruiting has CBS thinking it will be the best draw on that Saturday. Each team will be wanting to show what they have, should be a good game.

I think it will be miserably hot that afternoon.

While the OTA national exposure is good, a 7:45pm kickoff on ESPN seems more electric.

CBS counting on us beating UNC. If we lose that game, the UGA game loses a lot of luster for them.

CBS can't pick up an SEC conference game the first two weeks of the season. There are two other SEC games the third week. I think
CBS wanted to have the national champs on their line up.

Expectations should be higher this year now that we know we are capable of delivering a West Virginia (vs Clemson) level beating to teams like UT.
Ordinarily I would agree, but our apparent deficits will have to be proven solved. Solving them will not be easy. Our roster this year vs. last year is little more imposing, and in some areas, less so.

That game was great but it wasn't a WVU/Clemson beatdown. UT was looking way past us to their potential playoff invite. We were a foregone conclusion in their minds. Clemson was a better win in my opinion. They were up for the game and they totally crapped the bed.

Mercy. It’s gonna be hot. Depth will be an issue. Afraid that chip falls to them. They got lots of it.

If anyone had told me we could hold a one-point lead up there for 10 minutes, I would have told him/her that he/she was looney.

ESPN isn't going to do Gameday at a CBS game. I'd bet Gameday is at Florida/Tennessee.
They did the 2010 Bama game. That was a 3:30 CBS game.

Looking at the entire schedule for that week, there's only 2 legit options. The UGA game or UT/UF. UF plays at UT in week one. Probably a better chance both UGA/USC are 2-0 entering that game than UT/UF. The only other option they'll have to get to UGA would be Ole Miss on 11/11. I would think if they're going to risk not being able to go to UGA or UF they're going to choose not to go to UF. They'll still go to the cocktail party.
