At least we got one night game in the first 3 but I would’ve rather it be LSU.

I hope the graphic is wrong and they accidentally swapped the times for Zona and LSU.

LSU being at 11 am is WILD. These are the other SEC games that weekend
Alabama at South Florida
BYU at Arkansas
Tennessee at Florida
SCAR at Georgia
Akron at Kentucky
Georgia Tech at Ole Miss
Kansas State at Missouri
ULM at Texas A&M
Vanderbilt at UNLV

I guess that makes sense, I'd say our game is the 3rd best on that list after TN/FL and SCAR/GA.
BYU/ARKY and KSU/Mizzou will be good too

I think 11:00 A.M takes away a lot of the home field advantage. I think the SEC pushed it.

11am is the 3rd most prime spot after 230 CBS and 6pm ESPN
This is what a lot of people don't understand. The 11:00 ESPN game is a huge game. It just used to be taken by a Big 10 game, so for the SEC the 11:00 games were the throwaway games. But now, we're going to see a lot of big SEC games played at 11:00.

I will buy this concept when Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Texas, & Oklahoma start playing their BIG home conference games @ 11:00.

I get LSU being there and why they would want a good game there. But why in the hell would we play Southern at 11am on SEC+?? That is what's 17ing ********. Once there are enough games scheduled that you are on SEC+, let the school schedule it when it's best for them. That is 17ing infuriating that they would screw over fans for basically zero benefit for eyeballs.

ETA: Also, so out of 5 home games, we know 3 are ****** day time slots and then one is on Thanksgiving night. So basically Arizona and possibly western michigan will be at night. I know it's all about NIL now, but it can't help to have so few night games to bring recruits to.

11:00 is still the #3 time slot, so they'll continue to get the primetime and mid-afternoon game. But the #3 game essentially gets moved from 6:30 on ESPN2 to 11:00 on ESPN.

My guess is that we asked for 11am with the Egg Bowl 5 days later

I’m pretty sure we chose the time slot for the USM game. For the third week in November, and leading up to a short week before the Egg Bowl, 11 am makes sense in that one instance.

The LSU game time definitely sucks, though. And not that it will be a huge crowd but Week 1 at 3 pm is gonna be HOT.

Starting in 2024, it could be even more pronounced. Could see 11am games on ABC, ESPN, etc.

That would make sense but damn that still sucks for fans. An early game in the late fall when weather will hopefully be nice is great, if you are also getting night games. But if you're not getting but two saturday night games anyway, I'd rather have the night game than have a third daytime game.
