There is a cheer for kickoff at Mississippi State, unfortunatly it seems that 40,000 of the 55,000 don't know it....does anybody on this board even know what I'm talking about?

but I personally think this cheer is not much more than a knock-off of Hotty Toddy, except for the insufferable rednecky "WOOOO!" ****. To each his own.

Hotty Toddy is effing terrible as is our little knock off. Rammer Jammer sucks too.

gettin they groove on in pure whiteness. It is quite entertaining, though, in a pathetic sort of way.

What in the world is wrong with people on here...would you rather just sit there the entire game and just yell....I don't care how bad we all hate that Ole Miss Cheer...but it is famous and sounds good when everybody in the Stadium does it

The only similarity I can see is that they're both cheers and both include the name of the school the cheer is for. I like the Maroon, White, Fight Fight Fight cheer. Several Louisville fans sitting next to us at the infamous Butler game even commented that they liked it too. Of course, when your school's cheer is C-A-R-D-S, I guess it doesn't take much to impress you.

The majority of the fans at the football games are old farts and blue hairs. If you try to stand up and say a kick off cheer like that, they would take out there teeth and yell at you for being disrepectful and tell you to sit down because they can't see. I have been in more arguments with our OWN fans in the stands versus the other teams fans. That and me being a smart *** most of the time doesn't help.

A woman with a broken arm tried to punch me because I was cussing during the '06 South Carolina game. ****, if you weren't pissed during that game then you just don't care about MSU football. 17 our goody goody cumbaya singing blue hair *** *** fans and their kids. You know what you're getting into when you go to an SEC football game. Welcome to reality.

Whiskey was heavily involved.

They should have an old person's section underneath the field, 6 feet under where it is nice and quiet.

will get a lot more organized from here on out. I think the cheer is great. It is a tradition now and every ounce of tradition we can establish with football is ok by me. When I was in school we had the cow bell and the fight song (and for one season the DPR). Now we have this cheer (the "woo, yee damn right" cheer), the junction, the new and improved walk-through, the bully statue in the junction (great for pictures, etc.).

I will admit, the "woo" part is a little corny, but I still like it. It also gives all the rednecks a chance to say "damn right" which is a close, but not nearly as "red" relative of "damn near"

I just wish the "wooo" wasn't so high pitched and feminine sounding. We might as well all display jazz hands when we say it. It should be more of a guttural howl then a high pitched almost "weeeeee" sound.

Well, *******, if it wasn't for old farts like me, you dipshits wouldn't have a place to sit. Where in the hell do you think the $$$ come from? I guess you think it all comes from student fees or something.

to the athetic program. That way, we kill two birds with one stone. You sit in the 6 feet under section. And we still get your money.

Damn, I am good. I have a solution for everything.

If you're an old fart and you don't shake your cane at me while I'm screaming my head off for my team then you're alright by me, but otherwise stay home and watch the game with the mute button on. There are plenty of young fans willing to cheer with money as green as yours waiting to sit in your seat.

I agree stansfield just b/c you might give a little more money b/c your are 17ing old as **** and have had more time to make more money doesn't mean you have the right to make the atmosphere of our game suck.

I usually go with the flow of everyone around me. Sitting in the student section is awesome because you can stand and yell and no one cares, but I am soon going to find out what its like not sitting in the student section. I went to Little Rock last year and even if I didn't want to stand up I had to because the ten rows in front of me were standing up.(I am 6 foot so its not like I'm just real short and have to stand to see all the time). Well, it just so happened my row was the last one standing up and everyone behind us wanted to sit down. I was yelled at that he couldn't see and told I was the problem. I pointed out that everyone was standing in front of me and I wasn't just going to sit down and look at their backs so he could sit down and see. He informed me he had been going to games before I was born to which I said congratulations. I am not arguing who has seen more games, I am arguing I paid to watch the game and if standing up is the only way I will be able to see it then that is what I am going to do. Never thought the person I would argue with at a game in Little Rock would be another State fan.

I have to admit I agree with stansfield about the high pitched 'woo' though...I'd rather it be a low, growling sound, like the 'We got some dogs up in here' cheer...

You can either watch the old SNL skit or Arkansas fans before they call the hogs.

I'd rather drink copious amounts of whiskey. The stadium REALLY sounds good when everyone does that. That and I become bulletproof, which is nice.
