Instead he winds up down 13-3.

If Beck was there I wouldn't blink if he did this, but a QB in his first start? That's a tough ask. Just goes to show even the top college coaches will make questionable calls, but had Stockton broke a run for 30 yards and then got them into FG position everyone would be singing his praises for the aggressive stance to get points. Left tackle was getting beat like a drum the whole first half. GA didn’t adjust their blocking to offset this liability and paid the price. In light of that, Maybe Kirby shoulda taken a knee, went to the locker room and made some adjustments.
