Does the job pay better?

I would imagine that it might be nice to be able to display head coaching skills to the world (see Raffo.) But, otherwise, is the job really any better?

but when was the last time a SWAC coach was hired somewhere else? Alcorn's new HC, Larry Smith - former St. Aloysius Head Coach for 1 week in 2007 - was given 125,000/year. The previous coach made $80K/year.

thing was what I was thinking about. I assume Grambling might can pay more than Alcorn, but not dramatically more. And I assume that Kirby makes close to that amount right now. So, I assume it would come down to how badly Kirby wants to be a head coach. It is difficult for me to understand, but some assistants are just fine being an assistant.
