May have been 3rd and long Strong. Whoever it was should have been fired on the spot.

Might have been Strong. I remember it like this: first and second down: TFL, sack, pass batted down at line of scrimmage. Third and long: First down! Rinse and repeat.

I believe Strong was here during the Coach Holtz era. The Clemson game in 2005 was the Coach Spurrier period.

I have to make correction. What I am referring to is the clemson game in 2005, clemson had the ball first down and 35 yards to go. In three plays they converted the first down staring from their own 22 going all the way to South Carolina's 27yard line (51 yards in three plays).

The third down 30 play was a different game in which you are likely correct that Coach Strong was at South Carolina for that particular play.
