Lunardi has us solidly in as a 9 seed. A couple weeks ago he had us as an 11 seed and playing in the first four. Can’t afford to lose a quad 4 game against Vanderbilt Saturday, but after that, our next four games are quad 1. Just winning two of those would be good, winning three would be awesome.

So we've lost 3 of last 4 conference games and moved up 2 seeds......

Not unusual when they're all Q1 and likely tourney teams (only SC is questionable) and our one win is against a top 10 NET team. As much as that Southern loss is going to kill us all year, that Tennessee win is going to help us all year, provided they don't fall off.

ETA: It's funny. Memphis, by comparison, keeps winning and has moved into the top ten. But their NET dropped 10 points and they're down to 50. If they lose their conference tourney, they're probably an NIT team. Total fraud.

And for all of the love Beard and Ole Miss are getting, they're roughly 30 spots behind us in the NET.

Memphis took a bad home loss to USF last night that made them drop a good ways. And they’re directly tied to Ole Miss given that OM beat them in Oxford and were counting on that to be a signature nonconference win.

Didn't realize they lost last night. They've been flirting with losses to bad teams for a couple of weeks now and one finally got em.

You really hate to see it.

All my Memphis fan friends on Facebook have been crying about it.

Ole Miss is a paper tiger. They’ve played a super soft schedule, with most of their games at home. Even their first part of SEC play has been soft. They played a team with a pulse on the road Wednesday night in LSU and got beat handily. Auburn will probably crush them on Saturday.

We’re in a better spot than some of our fans that don’t know basketball want to give us credit for. Need to win tomorrow, no doubt, and have to win our share some of the big games we have left. But we’re solidly viewed as a tourney team right now.

Memphis and OM getting killed by NET. 50 and 63 while their RPI is 17 and 15.

Yeah well sorry. NET has been around for 5 years now, which to be fair is longer than the fandom of most Ole Miss basketball fans.
I can just hear the weeping and gnashing of teeth over their record and RPI when they get left out of the tournament this march. I kinda hope it works out that way, because it's going to be delicious.

Ole Miss this year feels like an Andy Kennedy OM team. Record is good but deceiving. Go ahead and commission the NIT final four banner.
