I would almost bet that Cohen wasn't banking on winning against Randall... he is just too good. He is letting Mitchell get some experience in different, tough situations and saving the bullpen for a possible game 2 win. He hasn't done terrible, just a rocky start where his curveball couldn't find the strike zone. He did much better in the second.

And Cohen would not concede the first game, he pitched Mitchell because he has been pitching better than anyone else on the staff
