We lost a great fly fisherman this week who loved the Florida Keys, Everglades and Bahamas and wildlife conservationist... I watched his show constantly called the Walker Cay Chronicles.

Like Pat Riley choosing Bird over Jordan to make a shot to save his life, I think I'd choose Flip if catching a fish in FL was going to save my life.

I grew up watching the Walker Cay Chronicles... watched a few on youtube the other day. Flip, Lefty and Jose Wejebe (Spanish Fly) were amazing... great fisherman and storytellers. Lived in Mims, FL always hoped I would run into him at some point down here.

The owner of a golf club I worked at back in the 90's knew him and would fish tarpon on a fly rod with him. We had a tarpon boat made for the flats parked in our cart barn.
