The last few look like the bulldog is about to mount the M.

Anything with just an "M" in the logo with no "S" or "State" is a completely idiotic idea.

None look as good as the MSJ or the baseball MS.

in any "logo" thread yet because I've been trying to soak it all in and see which logo really stuck out at me... What I've come to realize is that they all look like ****. The MState we have now looks better than all of that crap.

It would just be waaaaaaay too easy to make the baseball MS our school logo. When I see that symbol, I think of Mississippi State. When I see ND, I think of Notre Dame. Granted, the ND is more recognizable than our MS, but it looks good, is very simple and I just don't see too many State fans bitching and moaning if we went that direction. I guess that begs the question: Would anybody here NOT want the MS (baseball hat logo) to be the universal symbol for Mississippi State University?

I, for one, am not necessarily wild about the baseball MS logo. I think it is fine where it is - on baseball uniforms. But I wouldn't want to be the overall logo/symbol of the university or of all of our athletic teams.

And I will echo what others have said about the proposed new logos... some are certainly pretty decent, but none of them just WOW me. And as much as I have never been a fan of the current M State logo, I think it is better than the proposed alternatives.

it's a baseball logo and that's it in my opinion.

And BMT, I agree with you. I don't think any of those are better than the current logo. I'm not saying I like it on a helmet, but I like it as a general logo for the school overall. Plus, we've actually done a good job branding that logo. </p>

C and F from the first page. I think both of those would look good on a helmet and both of them stay fairly similar to the currnet MState.

Jack's page 2 link, it's possible the powers that be have already decided on the new logo and are already on to tweaking the initial concept. Pages 1 and 3 show various options. Page 2 actually shows revision work to one of the options on page 1. It's one of 2 things: The school is moving forward with a chosen logo, and the designer is taking the next steps towards finalizing it. Or, the designer has picked his personal favorite of all the options to show the school what the next step would be and how he would refine their chosen logo.
