my brother said the local station in CBus had a nice story on LJ Sr, and speculation around his retirement. they called him the top DL coach in CFB history and pointed to all his tOSU guys in NFL. No mention of the fact that I believe he spent about 17 years at Penn State and isn't this his 10th year at tOSU? Did he actually have more NFL DL from PSU than from tOSU?

There's speculation every year that he's going to retire.....especially last year the way the defense flopped. He has definitely slowed down a bit on the recruiting trail -- still bringing in lots of studs, but just not as active. I'd guess he has 3 or so seasons left.

I think he's linked to OSU more just because of the NFL success his guys have had -- the Bosa brothers, Chase Young, Sam Hubbard (who was a huge project coming out of HS). He had a fantastic run at PSU -- making Courtney Brown a #1 pick, producing Hali, Haynes, Kennedy, Adams, Maybin, Odrick, etc. But other than Hali, not much NFL success in that group. Not blaming LJ for that.
