ESPN updates FPI Top 25 rankings after wild Week 13 of college football
ESPN has updated its Football Power Index (FPI) Top 25 after a loaded final regular season week of college football.
Georgia gets left out if bama beats them and everyone else wins. Calling it now. Not crazy enough to say bama too but it’s hard to justify bama over Texas with the head to head regardless of when it was. Eye test is not everything and shouldn’t be.
Eye test isn't everything, but should be. Did we learn nothing last year from TCU inclusion? Ohio State passed the eye test in 2014 and got in and won it all. Bama beating UGA in the last game is the best win of the season and they should be in. Texas and FSU need to look impressive against inferior opponents, like Ohio State in 2014, to make their case.
Their FPI stands for Full of Poop Information. How the heck is Penn St that high when Big 10 is only 2 1/2 teams deep and the rest is terrible. Notre Dame fell off the cliff as season went on. Texas AM didnt even have a coach until yesterday and kept getting beat. If this thing was real, we should be number 22.
I disagree it should be a small part of it which is why I’m looking forward to tie ins for conference champs. Head to head matters. Texas beat bama on the road.
This is simply a higher form of clickbait. We're all so sports-obsessed that we'll argue about an inconsequential computer ranking. It's like discussing a mock-draft before the actual draft. If the poll wasn't controversial, there wouldn't be anything to discuss.
