Reported on the Lion’s Den that Montgomery incurred an ACL injury in a scrimmage on Saturday. He is losing out on his senior season and impacts RB recruiting too.

Sorry that he can't have a senior year but it may be a blessing in disguise. His coach would have run him 30+ times a game. His team is not very good...entire OL had to be replaced. Watched them last nite against a good Lakeland team. He would have gotten beat up. This way he gets to have surgery by PSU docs, will put 20lbs on, and not get get the crap beaten out of him.

If a kid is going to suffer an injury during his senior year, this was probably the optimal time for it to happen.

I do wonder if we look for a portal RB this off season. I don't foresee Ford and Lee both being back next year. With LM uncertain if he'll be ready to be a backup, we might need another RB.

Do we go after another in this class? An ATH with RB/LB potential would be intriguing.
