Let's just pretend for a minute that we don't go out and lose 37-9 against Clemson but that we actually stumbled onto a formula that works on offense. There are 3 lingering questions hanging over the team: Will Satterfield be back? Will Rattler be back? Will Joyner be back?
Obviously, Satterfield and Rattler are the big questions, as both have massively failed to live up to expectations this year. Joyner said after the UT game that he has not decided if he'll be back next year, but he's clearly shown value when they let him on the field in a meaningful way.
Prior to the UT game, I know most USC fans would have been happy to bid Satterfield and Rattler a fond farewell after this season. IF, and it's a biggie IF, the offense looks good against Clemson and in the bowl game, should we try to keep the band together and see what we can do with it next year?
It seems to me that the key is having Joyner on the field. The difference between our previous 10 games this year and the bowl game and UT games was Joyner's presence.
First order of business: prove that the UT game wasn't a fluke.
