three companies come up

LazyBoy in Michigan near Detroit.

Golden Technologies and Pride Mobility - both near Pittston Pa - started at the same time. Probably a story there.

anyone ever buy from any of them?

I had heart surgery last February (aortic aneurysm repair and valve replacement) and we looked at renting a lift recliner for when I came home. It ended up cheaper to buy one from Wayfair for just under $400. I lived in that chair for most of the first couple months and then used it again when I had hip surgery in September (BOGO surgery after hitting the insurance max with the heart surgery). If this is short term use, something like that chair was fine and was quite comfortable. My wife’s Dad used it for a while too. I’m not sure how well it would hold up for extended use but it served its purpose for us.
Good luck!

From NEPA and very familar with both Golden and Pride. Both are the top mfg's of full recline and lift chairs. Depending on your budget, and how you plan on using it long term, there's plenty of choices from each. Since my father in law knew someone at Golden when he needed one, thats who he decided to go with. Had to go through a local medical supply store. They helped with the final selection. He basically used it all day and slept in at night. That was over a dozen years ago and though he has since past, the family is still getting use from it. Just checked their website and the one he had was the Cloud with the upgraded brisa fabric. Seems like there's lots to pick from.

Try Flexsteel recliners found at Young American Co. stores. They may have what you need. High quality, a little expensive but they last forever. Bought the wife one four years ago, she loves it.

"Looking at recliners that also have lift capabilities."

If I might ask, "What Kama Sutra position(s) have you found where this could be beneficial"

Just asking for a friend.
