He could very possibly do well. The background he has will help him.

I just wonder how long he will be at Colorado before FSU comes calling?
Colorado took a risk. Lots of publicity for the program. Pub is good at the moment but will it last.
He can pull in the players but you still have to coach them as a team, not individuals!
Maybe he will pull a Dabo and hire great assistants and sit back and rake in the accolades.
We will see at the future holds.

Thinking about becoming a Lions fan. Saw them give the Bills a good game on Thanksgiving. 5-7, but have played a tough schedule.

Kinda fun to pull for an underdog. ;)

I'm not sold yet. Flash and sizzle was good enough at Jackson St. but it's gonna take a lot more than that at a P5 school.

Depends on how norvel does. They took a big step forward this year. Seem to have something brewing.
And I would agree about Norvel. But, if Coach Prime starts to really do well at Colorado and FSU is still somewhat mediocre, I have a feeling that FSU will get rid of Norvel or he will just leave FSU for another program. Knowing that Prime is the fans favorite.

I like the guy! No nonsense.
Also look up the video of him meeting team for the first time. The players look white as ghosts. . Like oh crap, it just got real. That sort of discipline and tightening up it exactly what SC needed after Spurrier. We (Carolina)had a bunch of entitled sissies trying to play d1 football and failing bad. We probably still do.

Colorado could be my second team!

Very intrigued with Coach Prime and Colorado
Deon Sanders to his credit did really good at Jackson State. Those schools had good players but nowhere near what the PAC 12 or any other power five school had. Noone is going to lay down because of his name. We shall see how all this plays out. There is a reason and I have no idea of why Auburn did not pursue him other than the big time boosters wanted Hugh Freeze. Some interesting things to watch is his staff. He is surrounding himself with coaches like Willie Taggart and other coaches who failed miserably at other schools. Only time will tell.

Yeah, we will see. At a place like Jackson State, a few key players was enough to separate them from the pack. Just out-talent the other teams. That won't come nearly as easily in the PAC-12. You've gotta recruit from top-to-bottom and then, as you said, coach them. As we saw in our last 2 games this year, a talent edge alone at the P5 level doesn't guarantee wins.

I greatly enjoy watching teams in which I have no investment whatsoever. And I usually pull for the underdogs. Watching teams I care about is nerve racking.

I wonder if he'll require every coach in the conference to bro-hug him after the games.

You ever seen a great head coach that didn’t surround himself with great assistants?

I like him there. I don’t actually think it’s a “risk/reward” type situation.

Colorado means nothing to anyone at this point. They’ve been essentially invisible to recruits for the last decade. Not anymore!

And the OC he just hired could have them scoring 50 a game. It’s going to be a hotbed for skill position players wanting to be seen and make it to the league.

Boulder is a great college town if you never been. Take in a Buff's game. Lot's of fun.

I watched them beat #1 Nebraska in Boulder about 15 years back.
I believe it is a "Woke" town and I wouldn't last two minutes there.

You'd be just fine - as long as you weren't walking around trying to antagonize people (but why would anyone do that on vacation?). I guarantee that you could go to a game, go out to dinner, go for drinks (all the normal vacation things) - and you'd have no idea the town was "woke" and no one would treat you any differently than any other person.

I mean, unless you have some kind of Charles Manson swastika tattoo on your forehead - then you probably wouldn't last two minutes there. (Now clemson on the other hand...)

How many fans were there, about 20,000? Boulder can’t be all bad. It’s the home of our hero, Ward Churchill.

Boulder is a fun town. I visit at least twice per year. 55kish fans. I didn't have a ticket and refused to pay the $200+ from scalpers. I missed the first several minutes of the game waiting on a reasonable price. Very exciting game.
