Looks like we are getting a new IPF for football...

Not sure this is a good investment in the new NIL / NCAA lawsuit settlement times we're in. Need to invest in players, not buildings right now.
Spoken like an accountant.

Normally I’d agree with you but as folks have mentioned something football-specific might be a good thing to fund.

In a group text, it was told we might be taking this practice field which is right next to the seal complex.

When I worked in the football office, there was talks of doing just that. There were even talks of doing a UAB type indoor where it's covered but open air on the sides. If I remember right, that is one of the main reasons they made it a turf field. Our coaches especially Moorhead hated practicing at Palmeiro. Only 40 yards for offense and a baseball field with faint football markings for the defense. Also you run an out pattern and you were running into a wall (which we actually kept up with for awhile to eventually show the admin the safety hazards)

With out TX or OU, we got 51 million from the SEC. That's money was earn by athletics and should stay with athletics. If it already is then money should not be an issue.

&elmon mentioned on the Road Dawgs that the next investment in our "student-athletes" would be an IPF for football.

Also he mentioned DWS but I took what said to be, DWS upgrades would be after funds for an IPF were secured.

My son went to MSU football camp and Memphis a few days later. Memphis facilities were far better than MSU. (Practice facilities)
Yeah, they've poured a lot of money into that south campus over the years. They have some nice facilities there. If they had the SEC Welfare check....(which they never will).....but if they did..... they'd pass us like a Corvette passing a 84 Ford.

Is this part of the latest “facilities master plan” that I never saw? Or was it part of one of the 3 or 4 previous master plans?
