Both equally bad?
One considered worse than the other?
Thoughts?

In the end, we've lost our last two to this team.

I suspect they are chomping at the bit to come play us again next year - won't have anything to fear when they get here next Sept.

No comparison, last night's loss by leaps and bounds.

Even though La Tech was a new I-A independent back then, we sucked that year and never really were a player in the SEC at that point anyway.

As sad as it is to say, the SEC is not the same as it was those 12-13 years ago. The SEC elite are ALL up now and there's no sneaking up on them. We are fighting for 5th-8th in the SEC now and a loss like the one last night, especially coming off last season, virtually wipes all of it out and spits us back down in the SEC cellar. Everything Crooms did last year was totally negated by that atrocity. How many times last night did you hear the announcers talking about Crooms's SEC COY award? Not many because it is hard to kiss the *** of the guy that is getting beat up and down the field by a ****** WAC team.

I'd have to say that this one is worse. There were higher stakes for our team this time than in 96. This loss probably means that we will probably have another losing season and it showed that we didn't build on last year.

While Tech's recent wins over BCS schools have be few. We do have a history of knocking off good SEC teams. 99 against Bama in Birmingham the year they won the SEC was huge for us. We also have quality wins over Mich. St and OK St. Our team this year is on the way up. We had some serious talent in sports last year but were missing a couple of important pieces to make us complete. We filled those holes this offseason. I was really impressed with your D and your running backs were solid. Don't jump ship just yet.

This team showed how crappy it is in coaching all facets of the game. Our defense has dropped off, our offense is a cluster17, our special teams does not exist and any hopes of hanging on to recruits were placed to rest in a short jet ride to a mediocre team. As bad as our team is, the future of a promising recruiting class is the most disappointing of it all whether we won 6 games or not.
