but I thought that Manieri was the coach at Air Force at that time. I don't keep up with the assistants as much.

That was the Regional when Jay Powell threw the ball down the middle of the plate that walked in the run that eliminated us.

I do remember that. Jay always had a way of finishing his baseball careers in a hard way. That was his last game in college, and in his last Major League game, he broke his humerus.

It's good to see that Jay is coaching at JA now.
