We beat LSU and Georgia at home two out of three, so I assume it's a wash.

We want Bama to beat South Carolina because we beat Bama twice, and they aren't a host candidate.

We want Vandy to beat Florida because we beat them twice on the road as opposed to losing two out of three in Gainesville.

We want State to beat Ole Miss because winning is better than losing.

None of that matters. We have to win at least 2 games & hope Duke and/or East Carolina lose (probably both).

The more sec teams that are ahead of us the worse it is.

we Are now 9th in the conference in Rpi only 1 spot ahead of lsu

That's a good point. The live RPI shows our Quad 1 record as 14-12, but the RPI through yesterday shows it as 12-11.

I don't think that affects the RPI ranking, but it is looked at separately to express quality wins/bad losses. It's a bad metric because beating #1 at home is the same as beating #25 at home, while beating #25 at home is better than beating #26 at home.

ETA: Only four teams have more Quad 1 wins than us, and one of those is Alabama. I now consider this to be the most important metric.

Then when you hit the committee meeting, make sure everyone votes the way you do so we can get the host spot and easiest 3 teams.

Thought we were gonna get some help from Rice today but they blew a 4-0 lead in the 8th and somehow got blown out.
