I mean, everyone who WANTED to evacuate last time actually did, and in plenty of time. Jumping the gun is not going to make some people get up and leave.
Plus, we still no no effing clue where this son of a ***** is going to hit.
I can tell you that right now people here are anxious and gas stations are running out of gas. Yesterday, on my way home, I saw more than 20 buses headed to NO and supposedly there are alot more there already. More people will be evacuating and if (when) they setup contraflow (supposedly Sat) it will be difficult to get out/in Baton Rouge.
I think 10 AM start was a step before canceling the game all together.
i should have been more clear. if i lived in the greater N.O. area I would be boarded up and gone by Saturday afternoon to forego any crazy **** around there.
this is not to mention that the gov't of LA screwed up royally last time so I dont' think officials, even those at colleges, want to be blamed for being totally retarded this time.
No one here in NOLA wants to take any chances at all. We're holding practice at Samford all week, playing Bama in Tuscaloosa on Saturday the 6th, and then hopefully headed back to the city.
about 120,000 people, supposedly, evacuating through Baton Rouge tomorrow afternoon. They are going to try & get the game over with & the fans out before all those people show up.
