http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3567181 The LSU-Troy football game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed in the wake of Hurricane Gustav, according to media reports in Louisiana. The Times-Picayune and the Daily Reveille, the student newspaper at Louisiana State, both cited sources in reporting that the game would be postponed and likely rescheduled for Nov. 15, an open date for both teams. No. 7 LSU was expected to make an official announcement at 3 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Most of Baton Rouge is still without power, including Tiger Stadium, which sustained minor damage from the storm. LSU's football team met at the Tigers' on-campus training center Tuesday afternoon, then went ahead with practice under the assumption that the game would be played as scheduled. Damage at Tiger Stadium included broken glass and torn awnings over club seats. Debris littered the stands and playing field and the fence surrounding the field was damaged. A large scoreboard above the north end zone also was damaged. The Tigers moved up the kickoff for their first game, a win over Appalachian State, in order to accommodate the massive evacuation of New Orleans and coastal Louisiana. Next to the stadium, the roof of the athletic administration building was damaged and there was flooding from rain runoff on the first floor. The eye of Gustav passed just west of Baton Rouge on Monday afternoon, unleashing winds with recorded gusts of 74 mph on the capital city. Power was out throughout town and streets were littered with debris.
