I totally forgot about this. Does anyone have any insider info? Should we be concerned?
You can be sure it will be headlines on ESPiNI totally forgot about this. Does anyone have any insider info? Should we be concerned?
Thank you.Sour grapes. It was a logistics decision. Having a guy in Hershey overseeing teams 100 miles away was a stupid decision made by Joyner I think. The guy’s ego can’t accept that he was replaced. He complains that he lost half his business when he was removed from this role and can’t build it back. Boo hoo.
I have a lot of faith in James and no way do I believe he would pressure a doctor to get a player on the field sooner. And if has tried, he has been very unsuccessful as PSU players who are "week to week" seem to never come back, see Olu.Sour grapes. It was a logistics decision. This is 2023 so there is no need to wait for details before convicting. Where have you been the last 12 years? No insider information on this. The reality is we’re going to have to wait and hear the details before really forming any opinion.
There’s no problem if a coach asks about a player, why they can’t play, and asking how long they think they will be out etc. That’s part of being a coach. It’s not pressuring the med staff.
Now pushing to change treatments to telling kids not to see the doc is another story. We will have to wait for details there. But let’s face it, surgeons aren’t exactly a group of shrinking violets. Then tend to be pretty brash and outspoken and aren’t going to be bullied by a football coach.
The claim he lost business when the athletic teams were removed from him is just silly. Even PSU fans forgot all about this. There certainly weren’t a bunch of patients in Harrisburg/ Hershey staying away from him because of his lawsuit against PSU. That’s just silly.
Wanting a med staff in town to deal with health issues of students is just logical. Depending on a doc 100 miles away was crazy and he has no real argument there IMO.
Fireworks? You would think another former wrestler in Lubert would tell him to STFU as it's bad for business.I totally forgot about this. Does anyone have any insider info? Should we be concerned?
So you're saying his NIL deal expired. This is 2023 so there is no need to wait for details before convicting. Where have you been the last 12 years?JK
I don't think it's patients "staying away from him", but rather he isn't getting nearly as much new business now that he can't advertise being the PSU football team doctor.
IMO….this will be settled prior to trial or very early in court. PSU/Franklin do not want the negative publicity of detailed / persistent testimony etc. They will seal the agreement with no one admitting anything. The only way that PSU goes forward with such a trial is if they are 100% convinced and with compelling evidence supporting their position. This type of action can get quite messy real fast. Look for a settlement. You can be sure it will be headlines on ESPiN
PSU and Franklin are no longer defendants if I read it right so not sure they'll have any say in whether it gets settled or not.IMO….this will be settled prior to trial or very early in court. My post view was hidden partially behind a pay wall. I could not see the entire article. If PSU et al are off the hook….then who is he targeting with his assertions?PSU and Franklin are no longer defendants if I read it right so not sure they'll have any say in whether it gets settled or not.
Suing Penn State Health and Dr. Kevin Black, head of orthopedics and, presumably, his boss.My post view was hidden partially behind a pay wall. I could not see the entire article. If PSU et al are off the hook….then who is he targeting with his assertions?
Not a good look with the allegation that Lynch was instructed to not tape ankles because it covered the Nike logo, implying someone profited from that.I totally forgot about this. Does anyone have any insider info? Should we be concerned?
Thanks….do not know if PSU Health has a track record of settlements prior to trial? My hunch would be if there is even a scent of a case….PSU will settle.Suing Penn State Health and Dr. Kevin Black, head of orthopedics and, presumably, his boss.
