They are the Sixers they would’ve effed it upImagine if the Sixers never made the trade for Fultz and got Tatum paired with a main course of Embid.
The Fultz trade might go down as the most egregious failure of The Process. It was an all time incompetent move by an all time incompetent, nepotistic GM. It was the perfect storm of ineptitude and something Hinkie never would have done.Imagine if the Sixers never made the trade for Fultz and got Tatum paired with a main course of Embid.
And I thought they were all but dead after game five.
YEP, that's what we played in the grade school school yard. I was in 8th grade, the other court members ranged in age from 10th grade to 19 yrs old.Imagine if Giannis wasn't allowed to just barrel through everyone, committing an offensive foul or travel half the time he touched the ball, without either transgression (almost) ever being called, and more times than not, they're calling a foul on the defense. It's basically like a game we used to play that we called "Monster Ball" on 8 ft hoops ... no fouls or violations were called, so you could just destroy kids and then dunk ... except here, the other team is often called for a foul, regardless. It's silly.
They also could have M. Bridges at forward, and a backcourt of J Butler and J Holiday. Add a bench of veterans R. Covington, T. Young, P. Drummond, and S. Curry, plus youthful Maxey and Thybulle AND the two first round draft picks back. That's a championship team! with a balanced payroll and a future Their ownership and upper management is horrible. It is going to even get worse.Imagine if the Sixers never made the trade for Fultz and got Tatum paired with a main course of Embid.
You are correct. The Celtics had the first pick and wanted Tatum all along. The Lakers had the second pick and were going to take Ball all along. When the Sixers traded up from #3 to #1 it was with the agreement that they would not take Tatum. The Celtics essentially fleeced the Sixers for added future draft capital and got the guy they wanted all along. Oh, and we can add that Okafer was also a complete waste of a top 3 draft choice.. Now they appear stuck with two ridiculous contracts (Hardin and Harris), and no future. The Fultz trade might go down as the most egregious failure of The Process. Now you can argue that Boston would have taken Tatum #1, but the Sixers would have kept the extra picks they traded for Fultz. They’d have to be better off today with that.
They missed a lot of three point shots too.Bucks missed Middleton and it was a factor.
Bucks missed Middleton and it was a factor.
My first reply was too smartazz. Middleton is an Olympian, and he and Holiday are one of the best tandems ever, imo. They missed a lot of three point shots too.
When your third best player is Marcus Smart, you’re a damn good team. The Celts are the best coached team in the NBA. They are a joy to watch on offense and especially on defense.
No doubt, but as a Celtics fan I didnt feel too bad because we missed Robert Williams as well. Hopefully RW can start playing some minutes against Miami.Bucks missed Middleton and it was a factor.
The no-Tatum assurance should’ve been enough for a competent GM to walk away. If Boston was so hell bent on Tatum, then let them stay at 1 and take him.You are correct. They were bad yesterday.I rarely watch NBA basketball but I tuned this game in just before halftime. My conclusion: Bucks played poorly.
