First and foremost, they are boring, yet they win. Second of all, they act like the refs just stomped on baby Jesus if there is a foul called on them. Lastly, Manu makes a Mario Austin flop look like a fifth grade play.
and they cry like litte girls everytime they either a) get called for a legit foul or b) flop and don't draw a foul. I hate teams that flop, and the Spurs flop more than anyone. People talk about how they play "fundamental" basketball. Since when is pretending to get knocked down and then throwing a fit that you didn't draw a foul good fundamental basketball?
Everyone assumes they play more fundamental unselfish basketball because they play mostly out of half court sets and don't have a guy on their team who is a flashy dunker. Duncan is very fundamentally sound, and knows when to be selfish and when not to be. I've seen Parker and Manu take some terrible selfish shots. I'd say they are just a better basketball team than most teams. Are they any more fundamentally sound than the Lakers or Pistons? Probably not?
They are boring and yet, they are very unselfish. Last night I figured the refs would probably help them some but it really was the fact the Hornets couldn't shoot and got manhandled on the boards. The Hornets reserves really sucked except for Pargo in the 4th quarter. It was a great year however and I look forward to next year because this team will get better and Paul is worth the price of admission by himself.
Duncan mostly just puts his hands upwards as if to say "who, me?" and has this look on his face as if he's astonished that he got called or didn't get a call. He doesn't really do a lot of barking at the officials at all. Now Sheed and Kobe are a different story, and that's why they lead the league in technicals.</p>
