This is what you are seeing across the nation. This isn't just kids being approached and asked to transfer for "X" amount of dollars. These are players who feel there deserve "X" and either give it or the threat of portal. What they don't understand is that they do not hold the cards and that's why players are getting pushed out.

I'm going to use our own here. When you make a deal (and a deal was made) and then you come back and demand more. You are threatening the whole roster and future. You are holding hostage the team. It's one thing when you actually hold the cards, it's "you no longer have an option". Why? Because there are literally 100s in the portal and a lot of talent at that position. And guess what. Once that transfer gets here.... They are here until they graduate or the have to sit a year at the next stop.

We will bring in a few WRs and they will get the job done and they will be here until the graduate. You can not allow players and $$$ to hold your team captive. If you attempt that and they call your bluff, accept it.
