A Starkville man unaffiliated with Mississippi State is in custody of the Oktibbeha County Sherrif’s Department after being charged with aggravated domestic assault and child endangerment, stemming from a Monday [Dec. 11] stabbing that took place in a parked vehicle on campus.

STARKVILLE, Miss.—A stabbing has been reported at Mississippi State Monday [Dec. 11], and MSU Police are investigating with a suspect in custody.
“We believe the victim is a university employee, and that the assailant is known to that employee. The victim has been transported to OCH Regional Hospital, with what we believe to be non-life-threatening injuries,” said MSU Chief Communications Officer Sid Salter.
The violence took place in a parked vehicle near Herbert Hall.
