maybe an homage. The original song is sort of about the Steelers, and was really smart.Certainly not from a musical or lyrical standpoint, but because the Pittsburgh native knew that Steelers fans will eat up anything even tangentially related to their team, and it became popular during football season, and it was subtle enough to not incur the legal wrath of Roger Goddell. But I wouldn't put it past him to try to trademark color combinations.

it was bad. First off instead of "Maroon and some white" or whatever it was you were saying you should've just turned the colors around... "White and Maroon" is the same number of syllables and can therefore be said/sung with the same cadence. That also would've afforded you the opportunity to make a verse solely about the colors, where you could've referenced "Maroon and White" in the proper order during the verse and then at the chorus gone back to "White and Maroon" to reinforce the theme. I found your voice to be a droning monotone, which also did not help your cause.
Other things I thought were bad:
"two words... golf carts."
"SEC says no more cowbells, we bring 'em anyway *gay laugh*"
"Starkville PD, you ain't gotta stalk." (not smart to taunt SEC or SPD)
The whole sour-grapes thing about Cam Newton and OM... don't mention other teams if the song is about MSU
your pronunciation of "ery'thing" is awful

There are more but I'm not wasting any more time on this.
