Just heard Chad Holbrook talk about Matt Price. Said they were on the verge of running Matt Price off. He and RT sat down with him and said he just wasn't good enough and he should probably go the JUCO route. They had a road game at Furman that week. Price begged them to let him get on bus, just wanted to go on the road one more time with his team. Price was messing around with his grip in pregame throwing in the outfield. Calvi noticed it and told RT/CH that something had changed with Price's slider and it was much sharper. They kept him, and he was a huge part or our B2B CWS rings. Who knows what would have happened if they didn't let him ride. Crazy story!
